((Insiders)) Poem by Dani Miller

((Insiders))

Our starry coulds and oeros,
Are Things only we can understand.
Climbing trees that look over lakes,
And learning how to salsa dance.

Turn that lake into ice,
So I can learn to skate.
You promise you wont let go,
So in that I give my faith.

We could never make shapes in clouds,
But now its a favorite thing to do.
One look to the day or night sky,
Brings pleasent memories of you.

You've got your work cut out for you.
I need to learn many things.
You have to teach me spanish,
Oh, and dont forget japanese.

But I have to teach you something,
Like how to ride a bike.
I swear I wont let go,
Ill hold on with all my might.

But I have also taught you a method,
On how to eat the perfect oreo.
Twenty seconds in the milk,
Perfectly soft and good to go.

And although we are miles apart,
There is that eye in the clouds.
So full of jealousy and rage,
That we make the rain pour down.

And although different people read this,
I know they may not be able to get it.
But as you read what I have written,
I know you completely get this.

For all I know they may not understand me,
For I am this poems provider.
How would they understand anyway?
Only we would, these are our insiders.
