Its an innocent dream
A wanting wish
for you to be by my side
and share with me that one sweet kiss
As i look into your eyes i am under a trance
I turn to you and ask you for one last dance
I pull you into my arms, and lightly on our feet
we go out to the floor and sway to the beat
You are here with me and
the smell of your skin is sweeter
than the midsummers air
I pause and you look up
And i gaze into your eyes
They sparkle and shine, like the fairest of skies
I pull you close, put my lips by your ear
And i whisper these words for only you to hear
Though with love there can come pain
you lose and you gain
You remain the same to me
My heart you hold captive
And you yourself have the only key
