Innocence Poem by Hermione Femalton

Innocence

Your heart is full of whispered words;
Souring with the wind.
Your mem'ry's free of guiltiness,
Your conscience clean, unsinned.

Your soul is full of summer sun,
Clean and fresh and bright.
Your thoughts are like a rushing stream;
laughing in delight.

Your mind is young and innocent,
Your voice is sweet and true,
Your eyes un-scarred by pain and death;
Things make sense to you.

Your dreams are shining golden,
Your hopes un-tamed and free.
You were born a breath of hope
To everyone you see.
