Inner Self Poem by James Gibbons

Inner Self

The raw edge caught my breath as I listened to your truth. Time's knife sliced Cutting deeply into all I know, releasing a life time of grief, a torrent of tears.

Why do you sing those songs telling of the lost days, when you went away and turned off my guiding light. Darkness lost in the sorrow seas.
For a moment could I borrow the meaning of those precious days and heed your desperate need
.
You need my healing hand, I need your sweet face, you need my constant love, I need your loving arms. You need my gentle ways I need your sweet body.

To ease the darkened days since we have parted. But now we are merged and are as truly one. We listened to our truth and see our inner self.
