Inflation Poem by Saubhagya Pratap Singh

Inflation

Rating: 5.0

The cost of commodities is ever increasing,
the tyranny of materialism is unceasing.
Fluctuating market biased towards the hike;
Hapless people unaware, when lightening tomato prices may strike.

The rise is not only in oil, but soil,
the dreams of lad see nothing but the spoil.
Day in day out, people toil to save penny by penny;
the value of money degrading, unknown how much is many.

'So called' promises of deflation of succeeding government,
Duping the gullible audience which they never implement.
The poor by the day getting pauper,
the luxury of aristocrats is driven by chauffeur.

Let's join hands and for respite we pray,
fight till the last as future is grey.
