Independence Day Special Poem by Sachin Waguzari

Independence Day Special

Got Freedom from Whites,
But still deprived of our rights,

Remember the years past,
For our flag, dignity has last,

Take pride in other's culture,
But hardly touch own culture,

Love western style to the fullest,
But Indian style is adopted nullest,

Want freedom from religious conflicts,
Hopefully 'll be one among the best gifts,

Ironically flags in hand today,
But on the ground the next day,

Oh! God, I need
independence,
Surely with no dependence.

liked your poem. you raised serious concerns of our nation being independent. if we give a second thought, its likely that we are getting more dependent with each passing day. however the word independent is corrupted for we human beings.
