In Waking Dreams Poem by Juan Olivarez

In Waking Dreams

I hear the voices, In waking dreams,
All times of day or night it seems.
I hear the voices in my head you see,
The voices that set my soul free.

I hear the voices, and I copy the words,
On a piece of paper, just as I heard.
And the results are my poems you see,
From all the voices that talk to me.

You might say I'm crazy, well you might be right,
Because I hear voices, By day or by night.
In the brightest day, or bathed in moonbeams,
I hear voices, in waking dreams.
