In Wake Of Reality Poem by Monte Harris

In Wake Of Reality

A cloud is simple a cloud, yet a piece of a generation that form a union
A system that bonds with the everlasting skies in matrimony

What is man? One of many, like a grain of sand that lye’s among many
Life has never surrender a purpose, so we chance the path of life
That leads us to our destiny in hopes of salvation
And as we adapt, we become swallowed
By our own advancement of knowledge
Searching for even more ways to racial divide one another

Day by day we encountered the desert in our minds
Searching for an oasis as we live within the depths
Of our own ignorance

Grasping every breath of life, as we barely stay above water
As each sector of humanity continues to carry the torch of evilness
And when those creative differences crosses the barriers of society
To intentionally disrupt the symphony within another’s culture
Only helps me to realize, that racial separation still plague humanity

Realistically speaking, is when we all acknowledge part of the blame
And search for the ultimate weapon of cure
The deceit taught from generation to generation
Forces the ignorance to stand out among us all

We’re all one of the same, we complete what is called the human race
Despite the fact, we separate ourselves by color lines
The blood in our veins will always remain neutral
I cut, you cut, I bleed, you bleed, your blood is red, and so is mine…
