In Tribute To Charles Bukowski's Bluebird Poem by SANJAY KUMAR SINGH

In Tribute To Charles Bukowski's Bluebird

You say you love me,
But I warn you against it,
You make a face,
Say I am depraved.

I laugh and say,
You don't know the meaning
Of love, my love;
Why then degrade the word?

You see these fishes in this aquarium
I say;
Their dance and dalliance is love
My pray.

What thoughts you bespeak me,
Other than perhaps what my wit be,
Or is it something I can't see,
Which your love alone sets free?

What for my love
you hold my hands,
and look in my eyes?
To wash away my sins
and all my lies?
