In Those Moments Rachel Was Delirious Poem by Ahmad Shiddiqi

In Those Moments Rachel Was Delirious

Rating: 5.0

In those moments Rachel was delirious
With wish visiting a fortune-teller
Whose clairvoyance had amazed her

When she felt it coming on a kind of frantic obsession
Captured her which she could control only if she found
Some angelic verses to soothe her conscience

(dedicated to a great poet, Philip Levine)

A lovely dedication, you seem inspired to have come up with those lines, 'When she felt it coming on a kind of frantic obsession/ Captured her which she could control only if she found/ Some angelic verses to soothe her conscience...'.
