In This Cage Poem by Daniel Hooks

In This Cage

This cage is beyond my heart
this cage controls my very start
I am a body where does it begin and end?
The flowers are they mine?
when I touch them I am like the sun which shines
Everything is an illusion
everything is a confusion
We have oneness
but I confess
I am foiled nevertheless
I am alone but with you
can I forgive you?
I am the keeper of secrets but it costs so much
when you won't hold me
I am caged, enraged in a desperate stage
Of a game I didn't want to play...
