In The Sea Of People Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

In The Sea Of People

I am a man whom you see
In the crowd of the people
On the railway platform,
At the bus terminus
Getting down from, getting into
And waiting,
Booking and boarding to reach,
I am a man whom see you
Hurrying, striding, running
To catch and board the bus, the train
With a sea of people trying to get down
But not where they are leading to,
With what divided aims and destinations of their own
I do not know nor can I where are they
And for what purpose this vast crowd of people,
Unknown people, unseen people,
Faces never seen before, not before,
Do not what they are destined for, where are they?
