In The Lonely Poem by kawambee thomas

In The Lonely

You came in my life at a time
When I knew the lonely would never end
I didn’t even care to change it
With alone I was content

Then something in you ignited something deep inside of me
Something I never knew was there, something I never knew could be

I wanted so much to touch you
To hold you close to me
I wanted to see passion burning
Like a flame caught in a breeze

You made every dark day carry with it a little bit of light
You made even the sunniest of days some how seem more bright

I never saw it coming
I could have never guessed an end
To some everlasting beautiful
To an everlasting friend

I still wait for the answers to the questions deep within
Like why am I standing here in the lonely once again
