Insecurities Poem by kawambee thomas

Insecurities

Sometimes the pain of insecurities
Runs deep into your entity
Extinguishing your serenity
Traveling through the sands of your existence
Grain after painful grain
Windblown across the paper of your life
Drying the ink of your thoughts, with pain, no gain, insane
How do you overcome the wrong in the balance?
Let go the negativities, set free the malice
You want something deeper, but you’re scared to dive in
You want to release the hunger that’s trapped deep within
But to set aside your insecure assumptions
Would be too much like giving in…
Where do you begin? Deep within, start again, try and win
