In The Hands Of Another Poem by appiah japheth

In The Hands Of Another

When you are far and found, I feel it
The touch of another on your flesh leaves marks, i see it
I see it, even when he dreams of you all day
When his delight in you defines your day

Now I am coiled in trauma
A dark feeling, sounds like drama
This indeed is quite an ordeal, am telling mama
I am left in the solace of my own comfort
Purged with hopes yet a little effort

Your absence for his presence grieves my heart so deep
Am shuttered in completion and left with nothing to keep
But for him I know in my hands I would watch you fall asleep
Regardless of all these my love,
I love you.
