In The Age Of Botox Poem by Francis Duggan

In The Age Of Botox

In the age of botox war on wrinkles is on
But removal of wrinkles by injection will not replace what has gone
It does not make ageing people fitter or healthier in any way
Pride comes before a fall as a wise one did say
Those who spend big money on botox treatment one true fact ignore
That it will not even lengthen their life span by one second more
By their lack of wrinkles others they may impress
But the fact of the matter is that they age nonetheless
In an age when millions are dying of hunger and disease
And the refugee camps of the World are crowded with refugees
That people are spending billions of money on anti ageing treatments seems all wrong to me
When those billions could help people in poverty
And in the age of Botox the wealthy egotistical to look young do pay
But their hearts getting weaker with each passing day.
