In St. Mark's Square Poem by Gary Witt

In St. Mark's Square

Rating: 5.0

The band at the Florian
plays Rossini in the moonlight;
every note clear and full,
imbued with mystic,
cavernous beauty.
My throat has tightened,
tears press and I realize
I cannot sing the melody
of your eyes.

How tenderly and beautifully love and pain are expressed by this one line...'I cannot sing the melody of your eyes.' A world of feelings in so few words...

Gary, Have beautifully expressed music in words... When You listen to Rossini, you do not surprise more from graceful doubling the mood... 10... Best wishes, Tsira
