In September In Port Fairy Poem by Francis Duggan

In September In Port Fairy

When the wild birds of Nature chirp, whistle and sing
Port Fairy a beautiful place in the Spring
In September a lovely time of the year
With the warmth of Summer with each day drawing near
In September in Port fairy the parklands so green
And Nature at her very finest is seen
Where the waters of the Moyne dark and deep flow
Near it's journey's end towards the Pacific crawls slow
Of south west coastal Victoria a gem in the crown
Beautiful and historical old Port Fairy Town
A tourist attraction of the coastal countryside
For it's famed music festival it is known Worldwide
And how lovely to hear on an evening in Spring
An orange billed blackbird on an acacia sing.
