In Old Age Each Friend Means More

IN OLD AGE EACH FRIEND MEANS MORE

In old age each friend means more
So many have gone
Not so many are left
Each one means more

We are holding on to the world
And our friends help us in this
Each one lost
Is a part of our world lost

Old friends
who help us retain
our enthusiasm for life
we need them
we want them
to hold on
and still be with us
all the way
for as long as we can go on
