In My Sleep Poem by Mazda Rahimi

In My Sleep

I opened my eyes in the world of sleep
I saw a man who cried out I have brought light for the caves of loneliness
And a woman who cried out I have patches for the wounded hearts
I saw a bunch of soldiers erasing the border lines
And the bombers only dropped love over the south of Lebanon
I saw people who planted peace and love instead of seed of war
I saw seven dancers of seven religions hand in hand praying to god under the same roof
I saw a Muslem and a Jude walking with their Christian children in the shade of love hand in hand
I saw that Syrian little boy refugee who kissed the shore playing in heaven
I saw a man who sold laughter to the faces
I saw a rope from bottom of the hearts to heaven
And a ring of awareness that connected people to god without any intermediary
