In My Feelings Poem by Rowland Howells Ibifiri Orumbie

In My Feelings

Rating: 5.0

These are words too big to say
Feelings too heavy for one heart
Life's a cross, too much to weigh
But then our way crossed path.

If I had a Genie, I wish you'll feel
The way I feel for just a moment
How dedicated I am to you
Like Shakespeare to his sonnets.

But you won't see it the way I do
Even if you borrowed my eyes
Artistically I get totally autistic
Whenever I try to say a lie.

I have nothing to give but my heart
Which is the best piece of me
I am so enslaved in my feelings
I don't remember ever being free.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

This is definitely a marvellous poem, albeit emotionally charged. "…. dedicated I am to you /Like Shakespeare to his sonnets" Exactly. Loved the poem..
