To a dear friend and poet who recently passed away.


You lived the life you wanted
in your most favourite place on earth
where you declared they had
the most beautiful sunsets of all.
You shared with us the vision
through photographs and poems
the things you loved so dear.
Now as the sun fades
and the sunset adorns
your lovely land once more
you've walked towards it
and through heaven's door.
You may have physically left us,
but your spirit lives on.
The window you gave us into your world
through the beautiful writing you did.
It is your legacy for us to see and read
for countless years to come
and for all your friends
you have never left us
as your voice will always be heard
passed along in your words
from a long laid down pen.
Rest in Peace dear friend
until we meet again once more
on the other side.
