In Memory Of My Brother-In-Law 'Perry Medeiros' 1956-2006 Poem by Debra Cathey (Thane)

In Memory Of My Brother-In-Law 'Perry Medeiros' 1956-2006

Rating: 5.0

You were my 'Brother-in-Law' for 11 short years;
and stood beside our family through death, tragedy
and tears.

Although a little 'rough-around-the-edges'
with a dash of obstinate pride;
When it came to family and friends,
You were a devoted and loyal 'softie' inside.

You made a nice piece of 'eye candy' with
that handsome face, moustache and braided hair;
and was once referred to by Robin's jilted ex- boyfriend
as 'Robin's Tattooed Millionnaire! '

I will miss seeing you at the holidays as you
greeted me with your warm brotherly kiss;
And I will miss hearing you say as I leave 'All right,
see ya later, and take care Sis.'

And when the evening sky approaches and
the stars begin to twinkle;
I will tearfully gaze up as I miss my 'Perrywinkle.'

Forever in my Heart,

Your 'Sis'

Deb
