In Life Poem by Ebrahim Al-Arrayedh

In Life

Of life have many sung in pure delight
Others to only grief have toll d the knell
In life s great dome, some never could yet dwell
On life s sad end, Good God! Be it so slight
The humblest creature shares the warmth and light
Of Thy eternal love; nor doth the well..
Whose waters never to the tempest swell
Like the deep sea... Reflect the stars less bright.
Of love bereft we never could attain
This sweet unrest, this quickening breath in life;
Our candle dimly burns in dual flames
Of red and blue; and yet, let cease the strife
With shadows of one flickering flame, the pain
Is past and.. Darkness closes on our claims.
