In Debt Poem by Montaha Gasir

In Debt

I thought I was alone,
On this dreadful plane.
Fighting on my own,
Knowing nothing but pain.

You saw my demons,
And tamed them well.
You didn't need any reasons,
To pull me from hell.

My feelings of debt,
Will never perish.
My life has been set,
To you, forever cherish.

My hand in yours,
No matter the weather.
We'll face off the wars,
With our souls in a tether.

Just say the word.
We don't need to plan it.
Though it sounds absurd,
We'll take on the planet.
