In Between Poem by John Leon

In Between

In between, among the stream
The air is tight, the water clean
Of all infection, moss, and mean

The light befalls the heir's last son
And every townsmen on the run
To the farthest temple, locked inside
The echoing light of a firefly
Reveals a once hidden truth
The In Between, a given coop
Parish of all who felt or saw
The reason was all wrong

Moons past are soon forgotten
The strings on the old harp begotten
And those inside this realm of doom
Are stuck to find the garden room
