In A Rut Poem by Mandy Howard

In A Rut

In a rut,
I want out.
In a rut,
I need help.

When you're in a rut,
I give you my hand,
when you're in a rut,
I'm by your side.

Is it too much to ask of you?
Can you please just lend me your hand?
You say you're my friend right?
Well you're not acting like one!

When I'm in a rut,
I need your outstretched hand,
not a convoluted remark!
When I'm in a rut,
I cannot get out,
at least not as easily,
as when you're here.
