In A Dream Poem by Shane Clift

I cried last night, you didn't know.
You haven't a clue how close I am to letting go.
I have tried all I could, done everything I should.
Somethings still missing, yet you don't seem to see how near you are to losing me.
What will happen when I go? Will you miss me? Will you care?
My hearts in a tear. Yet I am to scared to leave, so I ignore it and only dream.

Dreams can be fun, there I see what could be. Nothing wrong its only pretend but I can revisit again and again.
There you look at me with eyes so blue a smile so big, just for a moment my thoughts are true. Things may have changed but still as they were, in my mind our hearts are pure.
