Imprisoned Poem by Christopher Montalvo

Imprisoned

Rating: 4.5

Life has become a prison,
Impossible to escape,
Iron bars that refuse to bend,
To the will of Man,
Staring at the ceiling,
Close my eyes,
Trying to envision the sky,
But the only way I can survive,
Is to look deep inside,
Try to recapture my courage and pride,
I find one thing to be dearly calming,
While I have this time on my hands,
To think and breathe,
I can finally begin my emotional healing.
