Impossible To Replace Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Impossible To Replace

Protected from threatening elements
Sheltered in an iridescent glass nursery
Attended to exclusively each day...
a center of activity for worker bees

A rosy glow radiates from her petals
Happiness transfers from her spontaneously
to every other flower in the entire garden
Her contagious smile expands effortlessly

In the heat of the day she disappeared
Vanished into the humid summer air
Suddenly all eyes were searching
Empty arms begged for hugs to share

Sadly her memory fades more each day...
Empty hearts weep without her appearance
Impossible to replace… she is one of a kind
Remaining flowers bloom without fragrance
