Impatient Poem by Sebastian Soberania

Impatient

the farmer was so impatient
about how the rice seeds are growing

wasting so much of his time
his needs not instantly fulfilled

he has to buy his food and pay his rent
and send his children to school and so

one day
fed up with his poverty and going crazy

he stretches all their stalks
forcing them all to flower instantly and make the grains turn to gold

the sun shies away
the clouds turn to gray

and then it rains all day
feeling his pain his dismay.
