If You Were

Rating: 5.0

If you were the sea
I shall be the eternal shore
Where you shall come often
To caress with amorous lips
And drew me with a tight hug

If you were the river
I shall be the awing stream
Where you shall flow over
Jumping, dancing, singing,
Calm and full of gaiety

If you were the boulevard
I shall be trees by the side
With branches spread all over
To give you shade and shelter
And rain flowers finery

If you were the tree
I shall be the proud creeper
To encircle from trunk to bough
And even the petite branch lets
Bestowing upon unceasing clasp

If you were the bird
I shall be your warm nest
Where you must come to rest
And be a secured refuge
For tender young and hatch
