If You Remember Poem by Francis Benjamin

If You Remember

If you remember the
Lawn with the stars and the
Sky with the sand and the
Waves of clouds,
Say something to let me know.
If you remember the time we laughed,
The time we sang (remember that
happy past?)
Then laugh with me now and remember to
Speak at all. For these times will pass
Just as fast as those stars
That rolled through the clouds ’til none could be seen

And we were left with only the sea.
