Why I chose life?
If you only knew
I had nothing left
Til I found you

I'm just typical
Simple and plain
Til you noticed me
and all else changed

Because you were there
I took another breath
to catch another glimpse
to cheat another death

I came up to meet you
but you chose another
forever crushing my soul
for I wasn't your lover

I doubt I'll breathe again
For it was my dying wish
To embrace your hands
and to steal that kiss

Now back to square one
My hands up in the sky
Reaching towards heaven
For the angel that wasn't mine.
