If you forget me....
Why you didn't - I wonder!
Many many years ago, in a small cottage-garden,
We were frolicking together,
and holding hands!

You should have forgotten me,
But the strangest thing is - you didn't,
And I didn't,
It's a very long time!

You didn't forget the yellow poncho,
I didn't forget the little swing,
You didn't forget my round glasses,
I didn't forget the path
from the musical we took.

I beseech you - forget me now,
Life would be so much easier,
For you, for everyone concerned,
But, I hear you say -
No, never!
