And if you ever loved me
if we ever had a start
I would hope it would be then,
because you loved my heart

the one that has been trampled
but will rarely miss a beat
the one that has been beaten
but will never claim defeat

the one that still has hopes
that has true faith in everyone
believing us all the center
as we ellipse around the sun

The one that still can love
quite deeply, with great care
I wonder if you see my heart
or just this lonely stare.
