If You Are Standing, Stand Tall Poem by Raymond Anyanwu

If You Are Standing, Stand Tall

Rating: 5.0

If you’re standing; stand tall
If you’re stooping, stoop low;

If you’re sitting, sit straight
If you’re lying, lay flat

If you’re laughing, laugh hard
If you’re frowning, frown tight

If you’re loving, love true
If you hate, hate real

If you’re running, run fast
If you’re toddling, toddle on

The cocoyam cannot claim brotherhood
With the palm tree;
Just because it sprouts leaves
As you do it, do it well
