If We Want Peace Poem by Amos Christopherson Masereka

If We Want Peace

If we want to leave in happiness-
On this planet earth and hereafter:
If we don't want to be judged by God and condemned to death:
Therefore; we should thirst to help one another from challenges,
We should guide and support one another on how to succeed in life;
Life sometimes is perishable.
Let us not fight one another.
If we can share what we think is good,
If we can share what we have,
Then where will envy and evil thinking ever cross our minds?
If we wash our bodily pride with warm love, forgiveness, and prayer
What then will tempt us?
If we stop wars we will all live in peace.
Let us not kill one another like wild beasts.
Let there be peace in Africa, and across all continents of the world
