If She Deceives Her Kin, She May Deceive Thee Too Poem by Garret Raja

If She Deceives Her Kin, She May Deceive Thee Too

In tales of old, a story unfolds,
Of love entwined with secrets untold.
In the court of Othello, a warning was heard,
Brabantio's plea, a cautionary word.

'Take heed, Othello, ' the father spoke,
'Her loyalty, like shadows, may cloak.
If she deceives her kin, her blood and kin,
Beware, for trust may wear thin.'

A truth emerges, stark and clear,
If a girl cheats her father, hold it dear.
For character's revealed, like an open book,
A glimpse into what lies beneath, we look.

Literary echoes whisper this tale,
Of hearts deceived, where trust may fail.
In Tess of the d'Urbervilles, Angel Clare,
Suspects betrayal, a weight to bear.

Emma Bovary, lost in her desires,
Deceived her husband, stoked passion's fires.
From literature's realm, we learn anew,
Actions unveil character, a story that's true.

But let us not be hasty, nor quick to judge,
For humans are complex, and hearts may nudge.
While past actions may hint at what may be,
The future's tapestry has yet to see.

In life's intricate dance, uncertainties reside,
A choice to be made, on which we decide.
Though caution's wisdom guides our sight,
Hope and forgiveness can still ignite.

For character may shift, like winds that blow,
And lessons learned can help hearts to grow.
While shadows of doubt may cast their spell,
Love and trust can weave a tale to tell.

So tread with care, but hold hope in your heart,
For in the tapestry of love, we play our part.
Though warnings echo from stories of yore,
True character blossoms, evermore.
