If Poets Ruled Poem by Sandra Feldman

If Poets Ruled

Rating: 5.0

If poets ruled the World,
Yes, I know,
Nothing,
Would get done
But at least lies
And deep corruption,
Would not fly,
Too busy writing poems
To send people to die,
Or chop up
Each other's hide,
With intrigues
Convoluted by, very foul
And criminally induced
Political rot and actions!

Reminds me of the song EVERYBODY WANTS TO RULE THE WORLD by TEARS FOR FEARS. Wonderfully written, dear Ma’am Sandra....10++

Don't know...power corrupts everything and everyone. Even poets would be difficult to resist

Dear Sandra, we do rule...the world of poetry and it is a haven for those wishing for escape, the world of rulerships all have a common thread, the human element good and bad, , trolls and souls yet in poetry the trools do not rule, they just make real poets stand out even brighter in contrast to them, great poem my poetess friend!

The atrocities of politicians poets can correct if they put their writings into action. Nice one....10+.
