If Only Love Knew What It Meant To Me, If Only Poem by James Darwin Smith II

If Only Love Knew What It Meant To Me, If Only

Beauty of the light
Peaks so bright
Shining through
Towards this heart
Straight to this soul
If only….

Dreaming in indigo
I see you ever so clearly
Smiling brightly
So beautiful
Chills up and down my spine
Sublime destination
If only…

Supernova of hope
A genesis of captivation
Fixing this heart once broken
And giving it so much hope
If only…

If only a second would be a lifetime
Then this very soul could be seen
Underneath all the errors
A man full of strong diligence
Never stuck in the confines of love's security
Would fight to always prove myself
Paying my debt to love itself

If only this warrior within was known
Not the most hands on in life
Yet, deep within this heart
Resides so much effort
So much will and fortitude
And prospects of many sacrifices

If only I was a star in your eyes
As you are in mine
Our universes would finally connect
And everything would shape itself
In the spheres within our own design

Beautiful realms of greater love
Awkwardness dying, succumbed to love's endurance
No need to find a safety net, rather fall hard
Admiration towards an angel beyond her skin
With her aura formed wings spreading out
In greater force leaving no doubt
Feeling love in an unconditional way
Wishing for the most special of day

I seek the day when I can prove myself
Never stopping always working
Harder and harder till these bones grow tired
Only to get back up and try even harder

Moved and inspired
The beauty of beauty I so solemnly desire
Artistry of a whole lifetime
My whole worthwhile

Never be scared
Because I only flow where my fate goes
Never forcing anything
Always in control

If only love knew
How much it meant to me
If only….
