If Love

If Love Was Art, You Would Paint All Night
A Canvass Of Colors, Perfect And Bright
If Love Was A Drama, You Would Put On A Play
A Meaningful Sonnet, With So Much To Say
If Love Was Music, You Would Write Me A Song
A Powerful Ballad Of How I Did You Wrong
If Love Was War, You Would Wave A White Flag
Then Bandage The Wound On My Arm With A Rag
If Love Was A Wall, You Would Strengthen Defenses
Until All The World Had Come To its Senses
If Love Was The Weather, You Would Conjure A Storm
And Then Run For Cover, As Clouds Start To Form
If Love Was A Speech, You Would Talk For An Hour
Changing At Will, Everything In Your Power
If Love Was A Lie, It Would Drive You Insane
Nothing In Life Could Remove This Distain
If Love Were To Leave, You Would Follow This Feeling
First Hit Rock Bottom And Then Start The Healing
If Love Was Just Us, Would You Find Perfect Peace?
Would All Of Our Troubles And Heartache Cease?
If Love Was Just Love, After All Has Been Said
You'd Still Think With Your Heart, Instead Of Your Head
