If I Quit



If I Stopped Drinking
The Subways Would Shutdown
The Flights Would Be Canceled
The Autos Would Run Out of Fuel
Freights Would Derail
The Boats Would sink
And I would be
Grade A
Top of the Class
'Big Man on Campus'
I Would Rule My Earth
In Peace
But,
The Boats are Still Sailing
The Trains are Changing Tracks
The Gas is Flowing; From The East
The Jets are going far and wide
The Subways are in their ever running schedules
And
I Continue...
