If I knew happiness was coming my way
Would I still choose to be consumed by misery
If I knew love was to be mine again
Would I still feel so alone now
If I knew I would laugh and smile again
Would I still be so sad
If I knew you did not feel the same
Would I still have risked it all
If I knew the pain would ease in time
Would I choose to cry myself to sleep every night
If I knew I wasn’t the one for you
Would I still have let you break my heart

If I knew I would have children some day
Would I still worry about getting older
If I knew my family would be safe
Would I still carry this fear with me
If I knew my life would change
Would I still worry about the future
If I knew it would all end tomorrow
Would I choose to relive today the same
If only I knew the answers to all the questions
Would life would not seem so bad?
