Ice, Red Velvet Cake, & Crew Poem by Angel A. Lockwood

Ice, Red Velvet Cake, & Crew

There was ice on the grounds that day
Yet I decided to go for
A long stroll anyway
The trees were ice figures
Beautiful too
I just keep strolling
Getting lost in the view
I bundled up
I was warm too
Until I heard a shatter
The Ice had a break through
My arms flew up
My feet went in the air,
Who knew?
I was little startled
Wasn't sure what to do
Suddenly I was spared
By a rescue crew
That drove me home safely
And the friendly crew
Enjoyed with me
Some good ole
Red velvet cake, and hot
Cider tea too
