I Wonder About Tragedies Poem by Jim Yerman

I Wonder About Tragedies

I wonder why we're not more upset when people we don't know die...
When earthquakes tear apart the land or tornadoes fall from the sky?

I wish more people would realize what Mother Teresa knew...
When someone dies upon this Earth... A part of us dies too.
