I Wished The Walls Had Ears Poem by Emeyazia Iwe Chukwudi

I Wished The Walls Had Ears

I told you I love you
But like Thomas you never believed me

I told you
You are my Universe
That am nothing without you
Standing by myside yet you doubted me

And called me fake...
I gave you flowers but you took it
And dumped it in the bins...
It hurts yea it really does hurt

I wished the walls had ears
So that you can hear me
Screaming your name in my sleeps

I wished the walls had ears
So that you can hear me
Telling the rainbows how I love' you

I wished the walls had ears
So that you can eavedrop me
Telling Mama how I want to take
You to the altar

I wished the walls had ears
Maybe then you'd truly believed
That I love you

I wished the wall had ears.
