I Wish I Was Your Blanket Poem by Alvin Word Speaker Tatlhego

I Wish I Was Your Blanket

I wish,
I wish,
I wish,

Like a life without choices,
A painter without brushes,
Let me be your choice not in voices,
Your warmth in cold seasons,

I wish I was your blanket,
And through every night,
I'll cover your little body like
A mother's arms over her little one
In a delivery room,

Like a dove in a nest: let me try to
Be your best,
Let me be your heart heist, from this
Blend cradle to its grave,
A pillow of yours shall be my chest,
And like a blanket, let me give you
A peaceful rest,

Let me hug you all night,
Let me keep you without a fight,
Let me be with you for its a right,
Dear lovely one, let me help you
Have a peaceful night,
How I wish!

I wish I was your blanket,
I wish,
I wish,
I wish!
Goodnight bubbles!
