I Will Remain Your Sun Poem by Liza Sud

I Will Remain Your Sun

Rating: 5.0

I will remain your sun
for the rest of our life.
And we'll concieve a child,
and his name will be Ioann.

He'll be Ivan Brik.
He'll be Russian and firm.
To everyone whom he'll meet
he'll give blessing of God.

To our second child
we'll give the name of Joseph -
Ready to multiply -
serious and strong person.

Our third son
will bear the name of Richard.
He will be very proud
proud in the faith of Jesus.

And we'll beget a girl,
may be called Jennifer -
Genius, joy, John
White Fair of Ireland.

And you'll be like saint Job,
who after losing all -
got a twice better life,
gave a twice brighter light!

This is a wonderful poem, Liza, and its source is your deep spirit. Only a person with a really big heart which embraces others with a genuine altruism - and I include Jesus and the saints in that embrace - can write so abundantly. And there's delightful humor! I smiled at the names and traits of the children, truly products of their parents! And the last stanza - your understanding and compassion abound. Those last two lines, dear Liza - can only be written by someone who has faith, an abiding faith in a blessed force acting to redress wrongs and restore happiness to those who deserve it. I don't know if I am so worthy, but your poem makes me feel grateful to that force of goodness - whether that happiness comes true or not. Your poem has put the most blessed feelings in my heart and now I do not want to commit any bad act which would expel them, I want to nourish them with good acts. The hand that wrote this poem is also the hand that gives, the mind that conceived these good things is a harbor of generosity.
