I Will Not Revisit The Past Poem by Linda Marie Van Tassell

I Will Not Revisit The Past

I will not revisit the past.
Some things are just not meant to be.
The years they all went by so fast.
The past is no refuge for me.

Your voice echoes across the line.
I will not revisit the past.
You have your way, and I have mine.
This dear parting will be our last.

Dark clouds of rain I have amassed,
moments of sunshine glimmers too.
I will not revisit the past
nor dream of a future with you.

There is nothing left for us now.
The sunny days now overcast.
No sometime, somewhen, nor somehow.
I will not revisit the past.
